International work in engineering
We offer you a wide ranging course in the field of engineering based on realistic industry assignments. Do you want to work abroad or for an international company? With this English language course you can do all this and more.
The programme combines theory from different disciplines within middle management, such as mechatronics, mechanical engineering, product development and 'engineering for society'. You will enjoy a wide ranging programme in the field of engineering and learn from realistic industry assignments. Designs are central here. You first follow a work placement with an internationally oriented company in the Netherlands and later abroad.
International communication and cooperation is an art in itself. This programme will teach you the finer points, so that you are attractive for the international labour market.
With your certificate for this programme you can continue on to follow various university of applied science courses in English. You can also go to work for an international company’s engineering department.
The programme comprises 'blocks' or projects. A realistic problem is solved in each block. You learn how to do this during the lessons. Guest lecturers from industry will also teach you and you will be working with e-learning.
Soft skillsThe development of so-called 'soft skills' plays an important role in this programme. Good examples of these are:
- ethics in the area of study and work;
- communication and collaboration in an international context;
- ICT skills;
- personal development;
- specific professional skills (e.g. problem-solving thinking).
The tuition fees are € 1.168.

The programme offers one or more electives. These electives allow you to broaden or deepen your craftsmanship or prepare you to move on to a higher level. Each elective has an exam. The contents of the elective modules are determined by the school in consultation with the work field. The modules are currently under development and the offer may still change.
This is a programme with a limited number of places. It is important that you sign up as soon as possible. This way you will have a better chance at being able to start this programme, provided that you meet the admission requirements. It is also wise to sign up for another programme that suits you.
To be accepted for this programme you need:
- pre-vocational secondary education certificate theoretical programme or;
- bilingual secondary education certificate.
The programme is also suitable for foreign students (whether or not currently living in the Netherlands) with a comparable level of education.In order to follow this programme successfully, a good command of the English language is necessary.
