Please note: if you have already received an education agreement, it is possible that the date mentioned on this agreement is 1-8-2019. This is an administrative date. The schools start in the week of August 26.

You will receive your schedule during the introduction. First, check the question “When is my first day of school or introduction?”. From Saturday 24 August 2019 you can also view your schedule via My Summa. The first working day for bbl students can also be found in the time schedule. You can log into Mijn Summa (my Summa) with the student data you received by email or letter.
Please note: are you going to study at Summa College for the first time? Then change the password you received first. You do this via the password tool. Your personal Summa account will then be active.

An overview of the educational supplies (the list of learning materials with books and such) that you'll need for your study is provided on the website Studers. The list includes the total costs of your materials. If you prefer to buy your materials elsewhere, you are of course free to do so.
How to order?
To ensure that your digital learning materials can be properly used it is essential that you follow these steps:
If you are already studying at the Summa College, please skip the first step.
- Change the password you received via an email from Summa College. You can do this via the password tool. Your personal Summa account will be activated after this step. If you cannot log in after changing the password, or if you cannot change your password, use the button 'wachtwoord vergeten of account ontgrendelen'.
- Go to the digital learning environment Fronter. Click on the button “Inloggen Summa-account”. Fill in your username and previously chosen password.
Please note that on the next page, you do NOT log in with your email address, but with your username: firstname.lastname@example.org, without edu.
- To order your learning materials click in Fronter in the 'Entreehal' on the 'Students leermiddelen bestellen’ button. You will then be forwarded to the correct learning materials list on the Studers website. Please make sure to check whether your programme is listed at the top of the page under ‘geselecteerde lijst’.
- Place your order. Your books will be delivered to your home as soon as possible.
Activate digital learning materials
To activate your learning materials you will receive a link in the Office365 mailbox which you will receive via school. For activation to work it is crucial that your digital learning materials are ordered following the steps above.
Do you have any questions?
Is your book list not yet online? Leave your email address after clicking on your programme. You will then receive a message as soon as the list is available.
Do you have any questions about ordering your books or need help with your order? During the summer holidays, customer services of Studers can be reached on business days between 8.30 and 17.00 via 088 20 30 330. You can also visit their customer service page.
Order your learning materials in a timely fashion to make sure you receive your books in time for the start of the school year.
The tuition fees are determined each year by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science.

Yes, as a student of Summa College you will get an email address from school. This mailbox can be accessed via Microsoft Office 365. In June or the beginning of July, you will receive a message about your personal login details at the email address you provided when you registered.

As a student of Summa College, you can install Office 365 free of charge on a maximum of 5 computers. Their use is valid until the end of your study programme. To download and install Office 365, use your Summa College email address. If you are going to study at Summa College for the first time, you will receive your personal login details by email in June. You will find an explanation of the installation in this manual (pdf) (in Dutch).
Apple (MacOS) and Chromebook
Office 365 is also available for Apple computers and Chromebook. Downloading Office 365 for MacOS works the same way as downloading the Windows version. However, Summa College does not support Apple (MacOS) or Chromebook.
Buy software via Surfspot
You can buy cheap software via the Surfspot website. You can also do this using your Summa College email address and password.

Other educational matters
If you have any questions about other educational matters, you can contact the Info Point. The Info Point is open during the summer holidays from Monday 15 July to Friday 16 August, from 9.00 to 14.00 on Mondays to Thursdays. The Info Point is closed on Fridays during this period. You can call the employees at 040 269 44 44, chat with them, send them an e-mail or visit them at Sterrenlaan 10. Also check the FAQs to see if you can find the answer to your question there.
E-mail and telephone
Until Friday 26 July, all administrations can be reached at the usual times and days. From Monday 29 July to Friday 9 August 2019, some employees of the administration can still be reached by telephone and e-mail. The contact details during the summer holidays can be found in this overview (pdf).
Opening hours locations of administration
The locations of the administration will be open until Friday 26 July. They are closed from Monday 29 July to Sunday 11 August 2019. During this period, only the Info Point at Sterrenlaan 10 in Eindhoven is open Monday through Thursday from 9.00 to 14.00. You can call the employees at 040 269 44 44, or send them an e-mail. Also check the FAQs to see if you can find the answer to your question there.
From Monday 12 August all locations will be open again. If you want to pick up your diploma or BPVO, call to make an appointment. You will also be informed about the location.
If you have registered for a programme just before or during the summer holidays, you will receive an invitation for an introductory meeting after the summer holidays by e-mail no later than the week of August 19th. Your parents are very welcome at this meeting.
During the interview we check whether the programme suits you. We look at how we can best help you make your study a success. If you need extra support, it is important that at least one of your parents / guardians is present during the interview, so that we can align expectations.
If a programme is full or works with a waiting list, this is indicated in the programme concerned on our website. In principle, it is still possible to register for programmes that do not have a report. See also the answer to "When do I hear something if I registered just before or during the summer holidays?”
Do you still want to register for a bbl programme? Then it is important that you have a work placement at a recognised training company before the start of the programme.
If you have any questions about your choice of study, career opportunities or extra support, please contact our Student Counselling department. Together you will look at what is needed to help you further.
To get in touch with the Student Counselling department, please call 040 269 54 70. If you call this number between July 15th and August 10th, you will get an Info Point employee on the phone. If you are 18 years of age or older on August 1st and are enrolled in a bol programme, you will have to pay tuition fees to DUO. DUO will notify you of the payment of tuition fees. If you have any questions about the tuition fee, please contact the DUO Information Line: 050 599 77 55.
If you are 18 years of age or older on August 1st and enrolled in a bbl programme, you must pay the Summa College programme fee. You will receive an e-invoice via your email address.
On DUO's website you will find more information about how and when to pay tuition fees. For families with minimal financial resources, there are the following possibilities for financial aid in schooling:
Stichting Leergeld [foundation learning costs]
Stichting Leergeld (dutch) is committed to helping school-aged children (4 to 18 years of age) from families with minimal financial resources. You can apply for, for example, parent contributions, school trips, school camps or transport to school. Purchasing a bicycle or computer is also possible.
Parents or caregivers may call for assistance from a local Leergeld Stichting if they cannot pay certain in-school or out-of-school activities and have an income that is demonstrable below 120% the minimum income level.
If, due to your financial situation, you are unable to pay the tuition fees and additional study costs, you may be entitled to the Emergency Fund. Travel expenses are not reimbursed via the Emergency Fund.
