How to order?
To ensure that your digital learning materials can be properly used it is essential that you follow these steps:
If you are already studying at the Summa College, please skip the first step.
- Change the password you received via an email from Summa College. You can do this via the password tool. Your personal Summa account will be activated after this step. If you cannot log in after changing the password, or if you cannot change your password, use the button 'wachtwoord vergeten of account ontgrendelen'.

Go to the digital learning environment Itslearning. Click on the button “Aanmelden met uw Summa account”. If this is your first time logging in, you might have to choose ‘Summa College’ first. Your credentials are retrieved and you enter the homepage of Itslearning. Here you will find a button 'Leermiddelen bestellen Studers'. Click it and get forwarded to the right list of supplies .
- Place your order. Your books will be delivered to your home as soon as possible.
Activate digital learning materials
To activate your learning materials you will receive a link in the Office365 mailbox which you will receive via school. For activation to work it is crucial that your digital learning materials are ordered following the steps above.
Overview of supplies
An overview of the educational supplies (the list of learning materials with books and such) that you'll need for your study is provided on the website Studers.nl. The list includes the total costs of your materials. If you prefer to buy your materials elsewhere, you are of course free to do so.

Is your list of supplies not yet online? Leave your email address after clicking on your programme. You will then receive a message as soon as the list is available.
Do you have any questions about ordering your books or need help with your order? During the summer holidays, customer services of Studers can be reached on business days between 8.30 and 17.00 via 088 20 30 330. You can also visit their customer service page.

Financial matters
The tuition fees are determined each year by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science.

If you would like to have an indication of the costs of the programme of your choice, go to the description of the programme.
In our guidelines tuition fees (pdf, in Dutch) you can read which costs are paid by the school and which you have to pay yourself.
If you are 18 years of age or older on August 1st and are enrolled in a bol programme, you will have to pay tuition fees to DUO. DUO will notify you of the payment of tuition fees. If you have any questions about the tuition fee, please contact the DUO Information Line: 050 599 77 55.
If you are 18 years of age or older on August 1st and enrolled in a bbl programme, you must pay the Summa College programme fee. You will receive an e-invoice via your email address.
If you are 18 years of age or older and enrolled in a senior secondary vocational education (MBO) programme, you can apply for a study grant.

On DUO's website you will find more information about how and when to pay tuition fees. For families with minimal financial resources, there are the following possibilities for financial aid in schooling:
Stichting Leergeld [foundation learning costs]
Stichting Leergeld (dutch) is committed to helping school-aged children (4 to 18 years of age) from families with minimal financial resources. You can apply for, for example, parent contributions, school trips, school camps or transport to school. Purchasing a bicycle or computer is also possible.
Parents or caregivers may call for assistance from a local Leergeld Stichting if they cannot pay certain in-school or out-of-school activities and have an income that is demonstrable below 120% the minimum income level.
Emergency Fund
If, due to your financial situation, you are unable to pay the tuition fees and additional study costs, you may be entitled to the Emergency Fund. Travel expenses are not reimbursed via the Emergency Fund.

Mbo students who are enrolled in a full-time bol programme are entitled to reimbursement of travel expenses. With a public transport card you can travel for free or at a discount.

ICT
Yes, as a student of Summa College you will get an email address from school. This mailbox can be accessed via Microsoft Office 365. In June or the beginning of July, you will receive a message about your personal login details at the email address you provided when you registered.

As a student of Summa College, you can install Office 365 free of charge on a maximum of 5 computers. Their use is valid until the end of your study programme. To download and install Office 365, use your Summa College email address. If you are going to study at Summa College for the first time, you will receive your personal login details by email in June. You will find an explanation of the installation in this manual (pdf) (in Dutch).
Apple (MacOS) and Chromebook
Office 365 is also available for Apple computers and Chromebook. Downloading Office 365 for MacOS works the same way as downloading the Windows version. However, Summa College does not support Apple (MacOS) or Chromebook.
Buy software via Surfspot
You can buy cheap software via the Surfspot website. You can also do this using your Summa College email address and password.
